Capital Athletic League recap October 29, 2013

El Camino's Maleek Stewart rumbled for the longest rushing play in Capital Athletic League this season in his game against Whitney last week. Stewart's team fell to the Wildcats as he sprinted for 61 yards on the play and finished with 65 in all.

Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Antelope beat Cordova 35-6. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.

Kwane Wilkinson was a passing and rushing force as Whitney bested El Camino. Wilkinson's favorite target this week was Jason Brunet, who caught 4 passes for 52 yards.

Jordan Traynor made the biggest impact on defense this week as Mike Gimenez's team topped Adam Reinking's team. The 6-foot-3 senior recorded 1 fumble.

Tyler McCombs put up the best numbers in passing as Antelope defeated the Lancers. He finished with 7 completions for 123 yards and 2 touchdowns.

The Wildcats' Drew Romo and Kris Corpus led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-4 quarterback Romo has thrown for 1,282 yards this season, while Corpus has 20 catches for 346 yards. Titus Vinson from Matt Ray's team leads the league in rushing with 715 yards.

An important game coming up in Capital Athletic League this week will be when Rio Americano takes on the Titans. At the moment, the Raiders are in fourth, while Antelope is in first.

Rio Americano took down Mira Loma 55-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
