Baseball Recap: North Shore Comes Up Short

North Shore extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to six on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-3. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Shadow Creek Sharks. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 9-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2021.

North Shore saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zion Ashford, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

As for Shadow Creek, the victory got them back to even at 1-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win they have posted since April 4, 2025.

On Shadow Creek's side, Ethan Garcia spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on two hits.

Coming up, North Shore will head out on the road to take on Ball at 10:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Shadow Creek, they will be taking part in a tournament against Barbers Hill at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
