Baseball Recap: Covina Comes Up Short

Covina fell victim to South and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-0 to the Spartans, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. The Colts just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Covina's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for South, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-8.

Coming up, Covina is taking a road trip to take on Northview at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Colts' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for South, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bishop Montgomery at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Knights will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
