Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is University City's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

After losing to Classical Academy the last time they met, University City decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Centurions came out on top against the Caimans by a score of 6-3 on Wednesday.

Carson Hildebrandt looked comfortable as he tossed four innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Josh Kaplan was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2024. Raz Kolakovsky was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

University City has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season. As for Classical Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Looking ahead, University City will be playing at home against Helix on Friday. As for Classical Academy, they will head out on the road to face off against Maranatha Christian at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. This will be the Caimans' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
