Baseball Game Preview: Arrowhead Christian Eagles vs. Linfield Christian Lions

For the first time this season, Arrowhead Christian will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will host the Linfield Christian Lions at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Arrowhead Christian 4.1, Linfield Christian 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.

Arrowhead Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Summit on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the SkyHawks by a score of 3-2. The Eagles' defeat continues a trend for the team, making it four in a row.

Brayden Bennett was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off eight hits. What's more, he posted five strikeouts, the most he's had since back in April of 2024.

Meanwhile, Linfield Christian has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 2.64 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They lost 11-2 to Ontario Christian. That makes it the first time this season the Lions have let down their home crowd.

Linfield Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-2-1. As for Arrowhead Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
