Independence strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. Their defense stepped up to hand the Stone Bridge Bulldogs an 8-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for Independence, who have now won 12 matches by three goals or more so far this season.

Their offense was hitting Stone Bridge from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Morgan Blelloch led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for three goals all by herself.

Independence pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their ninth straight at home. As for Stone Bridge, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1.
