Flag Football Game Preview: St. Lucy's Regents vs. Los Osos Grizzlies

The St. Lucy's Regents will head out on the road to face off against the Los Osos Grizzlies at 3:00 p.m. on Monday. St. Lucy's is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

St. Lucy's came up short against Chino Hills on Tuesday, falling 33-7.

Despite the defeat, St. Lucy's saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Megan Cortes rushed for 67 yards and one TD on only six carries, and also picked up 35 receiving yards.

Meanwhile, Los Osos ended up a good deal behind Upland on Tuesday and lost 31-13. While losing is never fun, the Grizzlies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California flag football rankings (they are ranked 374th, while the Highlanders/Scots are ranked 32nd).

Los Osos' loss dropped their record down to 6-10-1. As for St. Lucy's, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-13.

St. Lucy's was taken down by Los Osos 41-13 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Regents were down 27-7.
