Basketball Recap: Fairborn Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 30-30 at halftime, Fairborn was not quite Sidney's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Sidney Yellowjackets by a score of 47-45. If the Skyhawks were looking for revenge after losing 54-46 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

This is the second loss in a row for Fairborn and nudges their season record down to 1-6. As for Sidney, the win keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.

Fairborn will head out on the road to challenge Tippecanoe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tippecanoe will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Fairborn surely won't give up without a fight. Sidney and Piqua will compete for holiday cheer at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Sidney is facing Piqua at the right time seeing as Piqua is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
