Preview: Taconic Thunder vs. Franklin County Tech Eagles
The Taconic Thunder will be playing at home against the Franklin County Tech Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Back in January, Taconic suffered a tough 50-28 defeat at the hands of Hampshire Regional.
Meanwhile, Franklin County Tech waltzed into their matchup on Monday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They blew past Putnam Vo-Tech 58-37. Franklin County Tech has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Franklin County Tech's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Hannah Gilbert, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds, and Lea Chapman, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 17 rebounds. Gilbert hasn't dropped below two steals for 13 straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyra Goodell, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Taconic dropped their record down to 1-2 with that defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Franklin County Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 15-2.
