            Softball Recap: Berean Christian Bulldogs vs. Port St. Lucie Jaguars        
        
		
        
        
            Berean Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight  defeat. They were a single  run away from ending the streak, but they lost  a   16-15 heartbreaker at the hands of the Port St. Lucie Jaguars. Even if the Bulldogs couldn't come away with the  victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
  Julianne Severson and  Lillian Severson stepped up to the plate in a big way.  Julianne  got on base  in five of her six plate appearances with three  RBI, two  runs,  and one  triple, while  Lillian  scored four  runs and  stole two bases while going 3-for-5. That  triple marked the first that  Julianne  hit this season. Another player making a difference was  Sophia Britton, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of her six plate appearances.
Berean Christian now  has a losing record of 7-8. As for Port St. Lucie, their record is now 5-9-1.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Berean Christian will venture away from home to  face off against Highlands Christian  at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Port St. Lucie, they will face off against Synergy Magnet K12 at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday.
