Volleyball Recap: Lancaster Takes a Loss

Lancaster lost against Mammoth back in September of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Huskies. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Lancaster was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-22, 25-16.

Mammoth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Andrea Morales, who had four digs and three aces. Those three aces gave Morales a new career-high. Aspen Wight was another key player, getting nine digs and one assist.

Lancaster's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Mammoth, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That somehow still isn't as good as their 19-4-1 record this season.

Lancaster will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Littlerock at 5:30 p.m. As for Mammoth, they will head out to face off against Kern Valley at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
