Basketball Recap: Wisner-Pilger Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Arlington, Wisner-Pilger was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Tekamah-Herman Tigers by a score of 56-47. For the Gators, this counts as revenge for the 57-47 win the Tigers walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.

When it comes to explaining why Tekamah-Herman lost, don't look at Brody Rogers. Despite the final result, he went 7 for 15 on his way to 18 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Rogers is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed three or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Camdan Chase, who posted nine points and eight boards.

Wisner-Pilger's record is now 2-7. As for Tekamah-Herman, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wisner-Pilger will head out to challenge Fort Calhoun at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Tekamah-Herman, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Tekamah-Herman Tigers take on the Bancroft-Rosalie Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Tekamah-Herman is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.4 points per game this season.
