Soccer Recap: Mountain Ridge Comes Up Short

Mountain Ridge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Copper Hills Grizzlies. The Sentinels were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Grizzlies apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Mountain Ridge's record is now 1-6. As for Copper Hills, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Coming up, Mountain Ridge will take on Corner Canyon at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Copper Hills, they will look to defend their home pitch on Friday against Herriman at 3:30 p.m. Herriman's last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
