Basketball Recap: De Anza Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

De Anza and Swett squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but De Anza had to settle for second. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 58-57 to the Swett Warriors. The Dons were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Warriors earlier this season, when they won 61-57.

De Anza's defeat dropped their record down to 11-11. As for Swett, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season.

De Anza does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Swett, they will square off against El Cerrito at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. El Cerrito will roll in looking for their ninth straight victory, something Swett surely won't give up without a fight.
