Football Recap: Goshen Central Gladiators vs. Wallkill Panthers
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Our Lady of Lourdes, Goshen Central was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Everything went their way against the Wallkill Panthers as the Goshen Central Gladiators made off with a 54-33 win. The Gladiators' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Several Panthers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jj Detz, who threw for 297 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt. Ryan Rauschenbach also helped with two touchdowns in total.
Goshen Central has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Wallkill, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
