Miami Christian won the last time they faced Schoolhouse Prep and things went their way on Monday too. The Miami Christian Victors slipped by the Schoolhouse Prep Wolfpack 65-64. That's two games straight that the Victors have won by just one point.

It was another big night for Hector Saavedra, who went 9 for 15 on his way to 25 points and eight boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last seven games he's played. Sebastian DeGuzman was another key player, going 6 of 10 en route to 15 points.

Schoolhouse Prep's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hector Samaniego, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hugo Nesbit, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 16 boards.

Miami Christian has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.6 points per game. As for Schoolhouse Prep, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 9-7.
