Basketball Recap: Aquinas Institute Takes a Loss

Aquinas Institute was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-64 heartbreaker at the hands of the Webster Schroeder Warriors. The Little Irish were not able to make up for their loss to the Warriors from their previous meeting back in February of 2023.

Aquinas Institute's defeat dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Webster Schroeder, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-9.

Aquinas Institute and Webster Schroeder should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps New York Rankings. Aquinas Institute (ranked 205th) will meet Franklin (ranked 634th) at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Aquinas Institute is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Meanwhile, Webster Schroeder will challenge Hilton at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday up 314 places (208 vs. 522).
