Soccer Recap: St. John Paul II Takes a Loss

St. John Paul II lost against Florida State University High School back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The St. John Paul II Panthers came up short against the Florida State University High School Seminoles, falling 4-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 304th, while the Seminoles are ranked 71st).

This is the second loss in a row for St. John Paul II and nudges their season record down to 6-5. As for Florida State University High School, their victory bumped their record up to 9-1-3.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the St. John Paul II face off against the Leon at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Leon's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so St. John Paul II's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Florida State University High School, they will venture away from home to take on Chiles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chiles will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Florida State University High School surely won't give up without a fight.
