Soccer Recap: Centennial Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Centennial's and Ironwood's contest on Wednesday was close at halftime, but Centennial turned on the heat in the second half with two goals. The Centennial Coyotes never let the Ironwood Eagles onto the board and left with a 3-0 victory. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Coyotes as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Centennial's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 4-8-3. As for Ironwood, their loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Centennial will head out to face off against Kellis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ironwood, they will venture away from home to challenge Sunrise Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sunrise Mountain will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Ironwood surely won't give up without a fight.
