Volleyball Recap: Del Sol Dragons vs. Boulder City Eagles
Del Sol was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Boulder City Eagles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Dragons of the 2-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September.
While Del Sol had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21.
Hayden Nordstrom was a one-man wrecking crew for Boulder City as she had 12 digs and five aces.
Del Sol's defeat dropped their record down to 8-27. As for Boulder City, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 15-18 record this season.
Del Sol wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Mater Academy East Las Vegas on the 19th. Boulder City has also already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Arbor View on the 19th.
