Vail Mountain barely beat Basalt the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rangers put the hurt on the Longhorns with a sharp 6-0 win on Thursday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Vail Mountain's offense was hitting Basalt from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal. Calvin Schaffler led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by himself.
