Jadyn Forbes leads a balanced attack to beat Huntingtown

Recap: St. Charles vs. Huntingtown Hurricanes

St. Charles can now show off 11 landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 56-34 margin over Huntingtown. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Charles.

St. Charles' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jadyn Forbes led the charge by scoring 22 points along with five rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Forbes has scored all season. Another player making a difference was McKenzie Thomas, who scored 14 points along with five steals.

Huntingtown lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Eva Powell, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 16 rebounds. Powell hasn't dropped below ten rebounds for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Sofia Hoetzlein-sirman, who scored six points along with two steals.

St. Charles is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season. As for Huntingtown, their loss dropped their record down to 12-7.

St. Charles will head out on the road to challenge Patuxent at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The timing isn't great for Patuxent: they have been struggling with five straight losses at home, while St. Charles has snatched up ten consecutive wins on the road dating back to last season. Huntingtown will take on North Point at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. North Point will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Huntingtown surely won't give up without a fight.
