Basketball Recap: Berrien Rebels vs. Irwin County Indians
Berrien lost a close one when they played on Monday but unfortunately for them the loss they were handed on Tuesday was a bit more commanding. They were dealt a 54-26 defeat at the hands of the Irwin County Indians. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Aaliyah Austin was a one-man wrecking crew for Irwin County as she went 6 for 12 en route to 21 points. Miya Ford was another key player, scoring 12 points.
Berrien's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
Berrien is taking a road trip to square off against Lanier County at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Irwin County, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Berrien at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
