Preview: Gaffney Indians vs. Dutch Fork Silver Foxes
The Gaffney Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Dutch Fork Silver Foxes at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gaffney is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Gaffney had no problem doing just that on Friday. They walked away with a 24-12 win over Clover.
Gaffney's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jaiden Mcdowell, who gained 133 total yards.
Meanwhile, Dutch Fork entered their tilt with T.L. Hanna with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. Dutch Fork sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 31-28 victory over T.L. Hanna on Friday.
Ethan Offing looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 137 yards and a touchdown, while also throwing for 123 yards and a touchdown.
Their wins bumped Gaffney to 9-3 and Dutch Fork to 7-5.
Gaffney suffered a grim 51-28 defeat to Dutch Fork when the teams last played back in November of 2022. Can Gaffney avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
