Basketball Recap: Clovis Takes a Loss

On Friday, Clovis faced Hobbs in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Clovis Wildcats took a blow against the Hobbs Eagles, falling 69-41. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Eagles this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 61-19 two weeks ago.

Clovis' loss dropped their record down to 20-5. As for Hobbs, the win (which was their 24th in a row) raised their record to 24-1.

Looking ahead, Clovis will venture away from home to challenge Roswell at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st. Clovis is facing Roswell at the right time seeing as Roswell is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Hobbs, they will take on Carlsbad at 7:00 p.m. on February 21st.
