Football Recap: Woodbridge Comes Up Short

Woodbridge fell victim to Kennedy and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Fighting Irish and fell 37-0.

Kennedy can attribute much of their success to Derek Almazan, who threw for 209 yards and two touchdowns. Those 209 passing yards gave Almazan a new career-high. Kennedy also got help from Rocco Street, who showed off his sure hands for 87 receiving yards.

Woodbridge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Kennedy, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodbridge will welcome Irvine at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Kennedy, they will take on Garfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
