Basketball Recap: Anthem Prep Drops Highest Score of Season Against Desert Heights Prep

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Anthem Prep). They enjoyed a cozy 50-33 win over the Desert Heights Prep Yote on Monday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 37-3 back in December of 2024.

Madi Hatfield was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double on 23 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Hope Case, who posted four points along with eight boards and six steals.

Anthem Prep smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 24 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've posted since back in December of 2023.

The victory got Anthem Prep back to even at 7-7. As for Desert Heights Prep, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Anthem Prep didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 51-33 defeat against San Pasqual Valley on the 30th. Desert Heights Prep has also already played their next game (against Sequoia Pathway Academy), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
