While Shaker's victory against Colonie Central wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Bison won by a goal and slipped past the Wolfpack 2-1. Given Shaker's advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked ninth, while Colonie Central are ranked 166th) , the result on Thursday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Shaker's win bumped their record up to 12-0-1. As for Colonie Central, they dropped their record down to 6-6-1 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shaker will welcome Saratoga Springs at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saratoga Springs will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Shaker surely won't give up without a fight. As for Colonie Central, they will look to defend their home pitch on Tuesday against Bethlehem Central at 7:00 p.m.
