Softball Recap: Tinora Rams vs. Crestview Knights
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tinora had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They blew past the Crestview Knights 9-3.
Zoe Billings made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Madison Spangler was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most home runs she has posted since back in April. Another player making a difference was Paige Gamby, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
