Volleyball Recap: Holton Wildcats vs. Chanute Blue Comets
Holton entered their tilt with Chanute on Saturday with 11 consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 12. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over the Chanute Blue Comets.
It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Holton got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 21-25, 25-22.
Tinley Wilson paced Holton's offense, picking up 20 kills. Wilson got some help from
Katie Etzel and her 16 assists.
Adilynn Marr controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.
Holton's win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 29-11. As for Chanute, their loss dropped their record down to 19-9-6.
As of now, neither Holton nor Chanute have any future games scheduled.
