Baseball Recap: Roanoke Valley Christian Comes Up Short

After flying high against Westover Christian Academy on Monday, Roanoke Valley Christian came back down to earth. The EAGLES came up short against the Grace Christian Warriors on Tuesday, falling 7-1. The defeat continues a trend for the EAGLES in their meetings with the Warriors: they've now lost eight in a row.

Roanoke Valley Christian saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Bowman, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Roanoke Valley Christian's record is now 5-9. As for Grace Christian, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.

Roanoke Valley Christian will face off against Blue Ridge at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Jays will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the EAGLES surely won't give up without a fight. As for Grace Christian, they will square off against Faith Christian Academy at 6:15 p.m. on Thursday. The timing is sure in the Warriors' favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Faith Christian Academy have been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.
