Basketball Game Preview: Lake Region Lakers vs. Yarmouth Clippers

Lake Region hasn't had much luck against Yarmouth recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Lake Region Lakers will be home for the holidays to greet the Yarmouth Clippers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Friday, Lake Region strolled past Mountain Valley with points to spare, taking the game 54-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Lakers.

Meanwhile, Yarmouth got the win against Cape Elizabeth on Wednesday by a conclusive 71-49. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 41-17.

The victory got Yarmouth back to even at 1-1. As for Lake Region, their win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Lake Region came up short against Yarmouth in their previous matchup back in February, falling 68-57. Can Lake Region avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
