Baseball Recap: Marion Center Takes a Loss

Marion Center was the 14-4 winner over River Valley when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Stingers came up short against the Panthers on Wednesday, falling 10-4. The Stingers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Marion Center saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Noah McCoy, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. Cole Adamson also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Marion Center's defeat dropped their record down to 1-6. As for River Valley, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

While Marion Center had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
