Soccer Game Preview: Northeast vs. Rossview

Northeast is 2-8 against Rossview since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. It'll be a Battle of the Birds when Northeast take on Rossview at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Northeast's favor is that they have posted at least four goals every time they've taken the pitch this season.

On Monday, Northeast got the win against Huntingdon by a conclusive 8-2. The result was nothing new for Northeast, who have now won five contests by four goals or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Rossview narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Springfield 2-1. Given Rossview's advantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee soccer rankings (they are ranked 46th, while Springfield are ranked 186th), the result on Tuesday wasn't entirely unexpected.

Phillip Russell and Nicholas Highfill scored both of Rossview's goals, bringing their combined season tally to five goals.

Rossview now has a winning record of 2-1-2. As for Northeast, their win bumped their record up to 6-0.
