Baseball Recap: Wando's Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

With a playoff win on the line, Wando rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Carolina Forest Panthers, sneaking past 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Max Whitmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Wando's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brady Gold, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Wando's win bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Carolina Forest, they moved to 18-9 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak.

As of now, neither Wando nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
