Volleyball Recap: Millennium Takes a Loss + How To Watch

After flying high against Legacy Athletics on Thursday, Millennium came back down to earth. The Lions fell just short of the Phoenix Academy Firebirds by a score of 3-2 on Monday. The Lions were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Firebirds earlier this season, when they won 3-0.

Millennium wouldn't go down easily and took Phoenix Academy into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. The final score came out to 21-25, 25-17, 25-15, 19-25, 19-17.

Despite the defeat, Millennium saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Addie Freeman had 14 digs and two aces.

Millennium's loss dropped their record down to 10-9. As for Phoenix Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 7-15.

Millennium does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Phoenix Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Cornerstone Charter on the 14th.
