The Silver Creek Raiders are taking a road trip to challenge the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
The home team had come away the winner the last five times Silver Creek and San Jose had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Raiders were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Bulldogs on Tuesday.

Silver Creek got a massive performance out of Giovanni Mejia, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most RBI Mejia has posted since back in April. Noah Medina was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Silver Creek kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in 14 consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Mt. Pleasant). They put the hurt on Independence with a sharp 25-1 win on Tuesday. The victory continues a trend for the Cardinals in their matchups with the 76ers: they've now won seven in a row.
Nate Ortiz made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Ortiz was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five stolen bases, four runs, and four RBI.
In other batting news, Santiago Ramirez was a standout: he went 2-for-3 with five stolen bases, four runs, and three RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Joshua Santos, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI.
Mt. Pleasant pushed their record up to 15-6 with the win, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for Silver Creek, their record now sits at 19-4.
Thursday's game will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Silver Creek hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .416. However, it's not like Mt. Pleasant struggles in that department as they've averaged .353. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Silver Creek took their win against Mt. Pleasant in their previous matchup back in April by a conclusive 10-4 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raiders since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
