Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marshall). Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Mammoth Spring Bears an 18-0 shutout on Monday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Bobcats as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Marshall's victory bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Mammoth Spring, they are on a 14-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-12.

Marshall wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 4-3 loss against Mountain View on the 15th. As for Mammoth Spring, they will venture away from home to square off against Cedar Ridge at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
