Softball Game Preview: Wolfson Wolfpack vs. Englewood Rams

The Wolfson Wolfpack will face off against the Englewood Rams at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Wolfson is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.3 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Wolfson came up short against Sandalwood and fell 12-8. The Wolfpack have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Dylan Hetrick was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring three runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Emerson Mercer, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Meanwhile, Englewood fell victim to Fletcher and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Senators, falling 17-0. The Rams have struggled against the Senators recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Wolfson's loss dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Englewood, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-7.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Thursday as neither team is afraid to steal. Wolfson has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Englewood struggles in that department as they've been averaging 3.3 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Wolfson took their win against Englewood in their previous matchup back in February by a conclusive 23-3 score. Do the Wolfpack have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rams turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
