Football Game Preview: Lake Zurich Bears vs. Nazareth Academy Roadrunners + Official Tickets

The Lake Zurich Bears will face off against the Nazareth Academy Roadrunners at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Lake Zurich is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 35-0 victory over Antioch. The win was nothing new for the Bears as they're now sitting on three straight.

Meanwhile, Nazareth Academy made easy work of Wheaton-Warrenville South on Saturday and carried off a 28-7 victory. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Roadrunners' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois football rankings (they are ranked fourth, while the Tigers are ranked 57th).

Nazareth Academy's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Lake Zurich, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Lake Zurich suffered a grim 25-0 defeat to Nazareth Academy in their previous meeting back in August of 2018. Can the Bears avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
