Basketball Recap: Word of Life Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Word of Life Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They took a 50-34 bruising from the Sandy Valley Sidewinders. Word of Life Christian Academy was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Sandy Valley earlier this season, when they won 50-46.

Sandy Valley got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Andrew Holsclaw out in front who dropped a triple-double with ten points, 15 rebounds, and ten steals. Those ten steals gave Holsclaw a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hans Borja, who posted 13 points and four steals.

Word of Life Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-12. As for Sandy Valley, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-17.

Word of Life Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Sandy Valley, they have already played their next contest, a 55-34 win against Mountain View Christian on the 7th.
