Baseball Recap: Fort Bend Marshall Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Fort Bend Marshall had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They never let the Alief Taylor Lions onto the board and left with a 2-0 win on Tuesday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Buffalos as it spelled an end to their 13-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Fort Bend Marshall's win was truly a team effort as two different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Bryce Strickland, who scored a run and stole one base while going 1-for-2.

Fort Bend Marshall will take on Stafford at 6:30 p.m. on February 11th. As for Alief Taylor, they will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Fort Bend Bush at 1:00 p.m. on February 17th. Alief Taylor is looking for their season's first victory.
