After flying high against Cornerstone Christian last Friday, Bethel Christian came back down to earth. The Kings took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hesperia Christian Patriots on Monday. The Kings' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Hailey Havlicheck was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Finlee Milhouse, who scored two runs while going 1-for-2.

Bethel Christian's loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Hesperia Christian, they now have a winning record of 7-6-1.

Bethel Christian didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 14-13 win against Calvary Baptist on the 8th. As for Hesperia Christian, they will look to defend their home field on Thursday against Arrowhead Christian at 3:15 p.m. The Patriots' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Eagles have averaged an impressive 8.4 runs per game this season.
