Baseball Game Preview: Waverly Warriors vs. Ludington Orioles

The Waverly Warriors will head out to square off against the Ludington Orioles at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Waverly will be strutting in after a win while Ludington will be coming in after a loss.

Ludington will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Waverly extended their winning streak to three on Thursday. The Warriors put the hurt on Sexton with a sharp 12-1 victory.

TJ Stewart looked comfortable as he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk).

At the plate, Jackson Gomez was a standout: he scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre Combs, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Ludington didn't have quite enough to beat Grant on Thursday and fell 4-2. The Orioles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Waverly's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Ludington, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.
