Mount St. Mary Academy hadn't done well against Sacred Heart Academy recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Thunder came out on top against the Sharks by a score of 7-3. This was a revenge game for the Thunder: when they faced off against the Sharks last Monday, they had to take a 3-1 loss.

Isabella Kilonsky spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up 13 Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jocelyn Wolf, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That run marked the first that she has scored this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Molly Reynolds, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Mount St. Mary Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

The victory made it two in a row for Mount St. Mary Academy and bumps their season record up to 3-4. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-7 Nardin Academy and 3-4 Sacred Heart Academy. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they now also have a losing record of 3-4.

Mount St. Mary Academy wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 9-0 defeat against St. Mary's on the 8th. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they have also already played their next game, a 5-2 loss against Nardin Academy on the 8th.
