Basketball Game Preview: Victory Christian Academy Knights vs. San Juan Hills Stallions

The Victory Christian Academy Knights will be taking part in a tournament against the San Juan Hills Stallions at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday. Victory Christian Academy is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Victory Christian Academy's tournament run continued when they took on Rancho Bernardo on Monday. Victory Christian Academy received a blow as they fell 46-27 to Rancho Bernardo. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 385th, while the Broncos are ranked 52nd).

Meanwhile, San Juan Hills didn't have too much trouble with Portola on Friday as they won 63-49. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Stallions.

Victory Christian Academy better keep an eye on Anna Shreeve. She was instrumental in San Juan Hills' win, dropping a double-double on 29 points and 11 rebounds. Shreeve's evening made it six games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Adelyn Boberg, who went 7 of 15 en route to 17 points and four steals.

San Juan Hills smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive boards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least eight offensive rebounds in 13 consecutive games.

Victory Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for San Juan Hills, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

Victory Christian Academy was dealt a bruising 71-42 loss at the hands of San Juan Hills in their previous matchup back in January. Can Victory Christian Academy avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
