Basketball Recap: Three Rivers Comes Up Short

Three Rivers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a blow against the Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats, falling 63-10. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1377th, while the Bobcats are ranked 625th).

Three Rivers' defeat dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Skidmore-Tynan, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 22-10 record this season.

Three Rivers will head out on the road to square off against Pettus at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pettus has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Skidmore-Tynan, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Skidmore-Tynan Bobcats duke it out with the Kenedy Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Skidmore-Tynan is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
