Volleyball Recap: Red Cloud Has No Trouble Against Lawrence-Nelson

Red Cloud had won three straight at home, but on Monday they bumped up to 20-9 to make it four. Everything went their way against the Lawrence-Nelson Raiders as they made off with a 3-0 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 on October 9th.

Josie Faimon paced Red Cloud's offense, picking up 14 kills. Faimon got some help from Kayla Faimon and her 27 assists. Aiva Rust controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

As for Lawrence-Nelson, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost nine of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-23 record this season. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat they have suffered since October 9th.

Despite the loss, Lawrence-Nelson saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Victoria Koehler had 11 digs and one assist.

Red Cloud wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against Silver Lake on the 28th. Lawrence-Nelson does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
