Crown Point extended their postseason success on Saturday against Penn. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Kingsmen, sneaking past 4-2. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their tenth in a row.

Paige Liezert spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on five hits and racked up 12 Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in 20 consecutive appearances.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Lulu Johnston, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Evi Cuevas was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with one RBI.

Crown Point was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Penn only posted a batting average of .185.

Crown Point's win bumped their record up to 30-4. As for Penn, the defeat snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 25-5 record.

As of now, neither Crown Point nor the Kingsmen have any future games scheduled.
