Recap: Galloway Scots vs. Walker Wolverines

The Galloway Scots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their third straight loss. They took a 68-57 hit to the loss column at the hands of Walker. While losing is never fun, Galloway can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 418th, while Walker is ranked 146th).

Galloway lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Vaughn Murphy, who scored 13 points along with eight assists and three steals. Another player making a difference was Grant Patrick, who scored 15 points along with six rebounds and two steals.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Walker to victory, but perhaps none more so than Anderson Carey, who scored 21 points along with five rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Carey has scored all season. Moustapha Diop was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 14 rebounds.

Galloway's defeat dropped their record down to 4-14. As for Walker, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Galloway will challenge Mount Vernon at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Walker, they will head out on the road to challenge KIPP Atlanta Collegiate at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
